Dried lavender can last years! Royal Velvet is an English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) and is classified as a dark blue variety. It dries into a gorgeous purple and has a soothing, mild fragrance. Dried lavender needs disturbance to release the oils of the plant, so a bundle on its own doesn't "throw" fragrance like a candle or chemical air freshener.
