Tar River Interiors Delivery & Pickup Policy

At Tar River Interiors, we take pride in offering thoughtfully curated furniture, home décor, antiques, and one-of-a-kind pieces selected to bring warmth and character to your home. Because many of our items are unique, we want to ensure they arrive safely and in excellent condition.

In-Store Pickup

All purchases are available for complimentary pickup at our showroom.

Once your order is ready, we'll contact you to arrange a convenient pickup time.

Local Delivery

For larger furniture and select items, we offer local delivery within our service area for an additional fee. Delivery charges are based on distance, the size of the item(s), and accessibility.

Please contact us before placing your order if you have questions about delivery availability or pricing.

Delivery Guidelines

To help ensure a smooth delivery, please make sure:

  • Doorways, hallways, stairways, and pathways are clear and accessible.
  • Someone 18 years or older is present to receive the delivery.
  • Measurements have been taken to ensure furniture will fit through entrances and into the intended space.

Tar River Interiors is not responsible for items that cannot be moved into your home due to size restrictions or inaccessible spaces.

Returns & Changes of Mind

Because many of our products are vintage, handcrafted, or one of a kind, all sales are final.

If you change your mind after an item has been delivered and request that Tar River Interiors retrieve it, we will gladly assist whenever possible. Please note:

  • A pickup fee will be charged based on the size of the item and the delivery location.
  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable.
  • Any approved refund will be less the original delivery charge and applicable pickup fee.
  • Returned items must be in the same condition in which they were delivered.

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Custom or special-order merchandise
  • Clearance or final sale items
  • Candles
  • Food products
  • Seasonal merchandise
  • Gift cards

Inspecting Your Purchase

We encourage you to inspect your purchase as soon as it is received.

If you notice any damage or believe an item was delivered in less than satisfactory condition, please notify us within 24 hours of pickup or delivery. We will work with you to determine the most appropriate solution.

Claims reported after 24 hours may not be eligible for replacement, repair, or refund.
